My passion for lories began over 12 years ago when I brought home my first pair of Rainbow Lorikeets. Like many new owners, I quickly discovered how difficult it was to find a truly nutritious diet for these unique birds. Most available options focused on convenience rather than meeting their specialized nutritional needs.

 

Determined to do better, I spent the next decade learning from one of the country’s most respected lory breeders and studying proper nutrition, husbandry, and conservation. In 2022, with my mentor’s guidance, we developed the foundation of the Lories Choice nectar diet using a recipe refined over more than 30 years, enhanced with carefully selected, research-backed ingredients trusted by experienced lory keepers.

 

Today, Lories Choice is dedicated to providing premium nutrition for pet owners, breeders, rescues, retailers, zoos, and conservation programs. My mission is simple: to help every lory thrive while supporting the future of these extraordinary birds, many of which are becoming increasingly rare in both captivity and the wild.
